Our client is a private senior home care located in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia and is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join our care team. As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients with a focus on assessment, health education, disease prevention, and early intervention and support for chronic health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents.
• Assess wounds and determine a course of treatment within the RN scope of practice.
• Supervise LPNs and CCAs.
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and maintain plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to established policies and protocols.
• Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
• Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment.
• May supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff.
• May develop and implement discharge planning process on admission of patients.
