Essential Responsibilities
The senior site director carries out the GVH elements of the DNNP project regarding health safety and environment schedule budget and contract obligations.
You report to the DNNP GVH deputy project director as part of the IPD.
Job Description

- Timely adapt / optimize GVH site organization in line with project execution and possible variation of hypothesis
- P r o vi de the focal po i n t contact for the cus t o m e r IPD partner; vendors; subcontractors on a ll s it e r e l a t ed i ssues i nc l ud i ng t echn i ca l ad vi ce and cons tr uc ti on / commissioning e x ecu ti on s tr a t eg y to ensure on time and on budget acco m p li sh m en t of p r o j ec t / cus t o m e r r equ ir e m en t s
- With support of GVH staff (Civil M&E and commissioning team) manage fi e l d e x ecu ti on i nc l ud i ng the management of subcontractor(s) (civil work heavy lift construction commissioning assistance) to ensure a ll p r o j ec t performance r equ ir e m en t s qua lity E H S schedu l e and budget are ach i e v ed
- Manage s it e cost wit h i n budget; respect GVH staff plan budget and manage cost of qua lity l oca l pu r chas i ng process.
- Set up E H S p l an wit h E H S manager to ensure respect of E H S and LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) r u l es for all site execution involved parties : subcontractor(s); vendor(s)
- Develop and regularly update a construction & commissioning strategy shared with site team and project management.
- Re vi e w and m on it o r S it e de t a il ed schedu l e to ensure co m p li ance wit h the contract r equ ir e m en t s; adapt strategy and develop with team mitigation plan when required to minimize slippage and / or over runs.
- P r o vi de on tim e and accurate s it e report of e x ecu ti on progress to p r o j ec t management using GVH reporting tool.
- A n ti c i pa t e i ssues : I den tify performance quality or EHS i ssues and analyze causes with support site team develop and im p l e m en t ri s k miti ga ti on and r eso l u ti on ac ti ons
- A ch i e v e h i gh customer sa ti s f ac ti on (respect of contract of quality of timeline and of adequate reporting)
- Ensure TOP (Turn Over Process : transfer from construction to commissioning) and punch list process properly implemented and timely resolution of punch item with objective of limited outage and zero punch item at COD (Commercial Operation Date)
- Ensure with supports of HR engineering and team that site is executed in full compliance with local laws rules and specifications.
- Ensure that existing Lessons Learned are applied and new ones captured

Qualifications / Requirements
Certified B ache l o r s degree from an acc r ed it ed un iv e r s ity or co ll egeProven experience of 10 years in site management; (ideally with both construction and commissioning lead positions) with a minimum of one or two large projects (400M$ ) in the position of the overall site manager.A proven technical e x pe ri ence and background i n heavy machinery or thermal equipment is a must.Eligibility Requirements
The work location will be at our site in Markham ON Canada.This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
