Our Fraser Valley client is currently looking to for new Human Resources Manager.

This search is for a strategic and results oriented HR Manager to strengthen our business by maximizing human capital. Reporting directly to the HR Director in this critical role you will act as a trusted advisor and business partner, ensuring we have the right talent in place at our plant locations while driving engagement and career development for our team members.

As a key contributor to our People strategy you will utilize business acumen to drive staffing decisions which directly improve our bottom line.

Additionally, you will counsel leaders as a trusted advisor on performance management and employee relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in key projects to drive HR strategies and improve our business that align to business strategic imperatives
  • Ensure 100% compliance through consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and best practices
  • Influence and communicate with all levels of the organization, from Production team members to Senior Leadership
  • Serve as a coach to Plant Managers and Front-Line Leaders
  • Ensure employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved
  • Promote a positive work culture by driving team engagement initiatives and employee advocacy
  • Lead key HR processes including compensation, merit and bonus planning
  • Facilitate talent reviews and performance management processes using contemporary tools & processes
  • Manage the Payroll function to ensure compliance and effective
  • Together with the Payroll Coordinator, ensure payroll processing occurs on a timely basis.
  • Administer benefits program and communicate plan for both Canadian and US employees (our workforces ) and ensure that benefits costs containment strategies / education are implemented for both workforces.
  • Coordinate annual benefits renewal process for both workforces
  • Coordinate employer branding efforts and initiatives to position company as a desirable place to work
  • With the support of the CRH Recruitment team, act as a main point of contact and coordinator for company recruitment activities (i.

e. developing job postings, conducting interviews with managers, checking references, preparing offers)

Work with senior management to develop employee communication strategies and materials (emails, print, intranet)
