Client :
My client is a well-established general contractor, they specialize in commercial TI projects ranging from $500,000 up to $10M. They have built a reputation with their clients for delivering quality, meaning they have a healthy pipeline of repeat business / projects, they are in a growth phase and looking to hire a qualitied commercial Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Planning & Execution : Oversee all phases of commercial tenant improvement projects, from initial design to final completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Team Management : Lead and manage project teams, including site supervisors, subcontractors, and internal staff. Provide guidance, resolve issues, and ensure effective collaboration.
- Budget & Cost Management : Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and implement strategies to stay within financial constraints. Approve change orders, manage invoices, and ensure timely payment to subcontractors and vendors.
- Scheduling & Timeline Management : Create detailed project schedules, track milestones, and adjust timelines as necessary to ensure on-time project completion.
- Quality Control : Ensure that all work meets high-quality standards and complies with safety regulations and building codes. Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate quality control activities.
- Client Liaison : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Risk Management : Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and take proactive steps to resolve any problems that arise.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate project records, prepare progress reports, and keep all stakeholders informed about project status, risks, and milestones.
- Permitting & Compliance : Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained before commencing work and that the project complies with all local codes and regulations.
Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial tenant improvment projects, preferably with a general contractor.Education : Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).Skills :Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract negotiation, and scheduling.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project).Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Knowledge of safety regulations, local codes, and building standards.Additional Requirements : Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.Compensation :
