We are recruiting for our client in the nonprofit sector, a leading charitable organization dedicated to promoting careers among youth and communities across Canada.
As part of their commitment to excellence and financial stewardship, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join their team.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial and accounting systems, policies, and controls.
- Direct and review staff work for accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to strategic planning and performance measurement standards.
- Lead corporate service development including IT, leasing, and procurement.
- Establish cyber and information security policies.
- Manage revenue, investments, and cash flow.
- Support the Finance and Audit Committee.
- Manage annual audit process and staff development.
- Prepare RFPs and contracts.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Day-to-Day Accounting Responsibilities :
- Oversee full-cycle accounting including AP / AR.
- Execute daily processes accurately and timely.
- Prepare complex journal entries and reconciliations.
- Handle month-end close and statutory filings.
- Manage cash flow and payroll processing.
- Administer GST / HST rebates and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare quarterly reports and coordinate year-end activities.
- Process invoices and track program expenditures.
- Provide ongoing financial reports.
- Manage bank transactions and signing authorities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of ten years related professional experience at a senior leadership level in financial management.
- Proficient computer skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Pro accounting software.
- Experience with Government funding requirements and charitable fundraising programs.
- Experience overseeing IT and HR functions.
Education
Post secondary diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business Administration.
