Ramp Handler - FedEx Canada

Overview

To load and unload FedEx aircraft and vehicles, you will scan and transport freight to and from the ramp and within our facility, ensuring efficient flow of packages.

As part of our team, you will complete all ramp training and certifications, maintain accreditation through yearly recurrency training, and uphold safety and operational standards at every turn.

About the role : Ramp Handler

In this role, you will perform trailer switches and handle freight using ground support equipment (GSE), tugs, belt loaders, and more. You’ll also scan packages , move freight within the yard, and document all movements accurately.

You’ll need strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills , the ability to work both independently and in a team, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements / Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Ability to complete and maintain ramp certifications (GSE, tug, belt loader, t-stacking, DG)
• Yearly recurrency training accreditation
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations (asset)
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment
