About the Role
The scope of this role is to provide clients with quality customer service, expertise and product knowledge. This will be achieved by establishing rapport with customers, while obtaining a strong understanding of our product lines to recommend specific items and alternatives.
You will also perform estimates and material takeoff to assist in product sales.
What you will be doing
- Assisting with product sales by recommending specific items and alternatives.
- Preforming estimates and material takeoff.
- Following up with clients before and after the successful sale to provide ongoing support and to resolve any problems or questions.
- Coordinating with staff and customers to identify the optimal delivery date.
- Providing information on the availability of in-stock / out-of-stock items and the projected delivery date from vendors.
- Identifying customer needs and ways to meet them in an effective manner.
- Preparing rough sketches and offers that meet specific customer needs or budgets.
- Contacting regular and potential customers to provide information on new or arrived products by demonstrating new product features.
- Showcasing the display and product samples.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the sales field, preferred.
- Basic math skills.
- Construction or Building Materials background is preferable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and support skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills and sales aptitude.
- Ability to learn our new or existing products as well as their pricing, descriptions, and usages.
- Ability to learn and use the company’s business processes (inventory and CRM system).
