Mechanical Engineer
Job Duties and Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and support hardware for simulation-based training products
- Participate in all aspects of the hardware development life cycle
- Provide technical support to the relevant departments
- Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users
Job Requirements :
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing and assembly of hardware
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Aerospace industry
- Must have P.Eng
- Fluency in English
- Ability to design products for specific technological environments
- Experience creating drawings for manufacturing
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including, selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and assembly
- Background in optics design and evaluation
- Knowledge of budgeting control, manufacturing and scheduling
- Ability to interpret / create most hardware data, including : functional specifications, engineering diagrams, etc.
- Experience with 3D modeling (SolidEdge or SolidWorks preferred)
- Work experience in simulation is considered an asset
- C programming for the Windows desktop environment is considered an asset
- Able to multitask, organize, and prioritize under tight timelines
- Effective communication and problem solving skills
- Excellent judgment and diplomacy
- Strong attention to detail
Education and Accreditation :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or its equivalent
