Job description

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and support hardware for simulation-based training products
Participate in all aspects of the hardware development life cycle
Provide technical support to the relevant departments
Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users

Job Requirements :

3+ years’ experience in manufacturing and assembly of hardware

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Aerospace industry

Must have P.Eng

Fluency in English

Ability to design products for specific technological environments

Experience creating drawings for manufacturing

Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including, selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and assembly

Background in optics design and evaluation

Knowledge of budgeting control, manufacturing and scheduling

Ability to interpret / create most hardware data, including : functional specifications, engineering diagrams, etc.

Experience with 3D modeling (SolidEdge or SolidWorks preferred)

Work experience in simulation is considered an asset

C programming for the Windows desktop environment is considered an asset

Able to multitask, organize, and prioritize under tight timelines

Effective communication and problem solving skills

Excellent judgment and diplomacy

Strong attention to detail

Education and Accreditation :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or its equivalent
