Mechanical Engineer

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support hardware for simulation-based training products
• Participate in all aspects of the hardware development life cycle
• Provide technical support to the relevant departments
• Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing and assembly of hardware
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Aerospace industry
• Must have P.Eng
• Fluency in English
• Ability to design products for specific technological environments
• Experience creating drawings for manufacturing
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including, selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and assembly
• Background in optics design and evaluation
• Knowledge of budgeting control, manufacturing and scheduling
• Ability to interpret/create most hardware data, including: functional specifications, engineering diagrams, etc.
• Experience with 3D modeling (SolidEdge or SolidWorks preferred)
• Work experience in simulation is considered an asset
• C programming for the Windows desktop environment is considered an asset
• Able to multitask, organize, and prioritize under tight timelines
• Effective communication and problem solving skills
• Excellent judgment and diplomacy
• Strong attention to detail

Education and Accreditation:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or its equivalent
