Your Role in Supporting Our Members :
We are seeking an Integration Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and optimization of secure, real-time backend systems that connect to our financial platforms at scale. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic guidance to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions integrating enterprise platforms, APIs, and third-party services.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at Vancity head office . Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed.
How You'll Make an Impact :
- Leading the design and implementation of integrations in real-time APIs
- Acting as the technical authority and hands-on contributor for integrations across multiple business domains
- Designing scalable, reliable, and secure integration architectures aligned with enterprise standards
- Ensuring seamless end-to-end connectivity and data flow between enterprise and external systems
- Developing and maintaining integration standards, reusable components, and best practices
- Defining and executing a platform roadmap focused on modernization, performance, and compliance
- Leading cross-functional teams through all stages of the integration lifecycle - from planning to delivery
- Collaborating with Product, Data, Operations, and Risk teams to align solutions with business needs
- Providing technical oversight for vendor solutions and external integrations to ensure quality and compatibility
- Establishing monitoring, documentation, and governance practices to maintain reliability and regulatory compliance
What You’ll Bring to the Team :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on building and maintaining backend systems and APIsProven experience leading integration projects with .NET, Java, Python, or similar API integration platformsExpertise in cloud platforms (eg : Azure, AWS) development, designing and maintaining real-time and event-driven patternsExperience implementing and maintaining RESTful or GraphQL APIs with .NET, MuleSoft and Azure integration / API management platformsStrong knowledge of authentication, authorization, security best practices, and performance optimization for APIs.Solid grasp of security, scalability, and data governance principles in integration contextsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience in automation, AI / MK Integrations, or financial services domain is an assetYou’ll Thrive Here If You Are :

What You’ll Earn :
This role offers a salary range of $113,100 to $140,000 per annum . The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
