The Public Policy team at Netflix engages with policymakers, regulators, and government bodies in order to advocate for Netflix’s interests in the policymaking process, and acts as a strategic partner to internal business groups as they navigate the policy world. This role will be a senior leader managing our efforts in Canada to develop reliable and efficient content and production ecosystems as well as heading up our efforts at the state level to promote Netflix and protect our business interests. The Director of Canada Public Policy will be a key leader on this team. They will work with internal partners throughout the business to facilitate production processes in our studios, help identify and define the company’s public policy objectives in Canada, and develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders in order to further those objectives. Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $280,000-960,000 USD.Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Supplemental Health and Dental Plans, Mental Health support, a RRSP Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
