Opportunity Summary
As a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), you will work as a front‑line healthcare provider in EHS Operations across the Edmonton area. You may be called to perform ambulance, interfacility transport, or other front‑line duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess emergency scenes and patients, and transport ill or injured patients between facilities.
- Operate ambulances and other modes of transportation; administer minor medications, basic life support (BLS) airway adjuncts, and semi‑automated defibrillation.
- Lead the BLS crew in delivering clinical care during transport or at emergency scenes.
- Assist with ensuring EMS vehicles (including non‑emergent transport) are properly stocked and equipped.
- Work in all weather conditions and remote locations, and handle hazardous or graphic scenes with direct exposure to bodily fluids.
- Perform frequent lifting and carrying of up to 105 lb, and maintain physical endurance for prolonged periods of kneeling, trunk flexion, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, and side‑carry.

Non‑restricted registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP) as a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent, with a five‑year driver abstract current within six months and no more than six demerits.Proof of completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test via the certificate provided by Lifemark, if not already holding a clinical position within AHS EMS.Must be qualified to perform full operational duties as of start date.Additional Required Qualifications
