Position Overview
Gillespie-Munro Inc.s International Forwarding team in Vancouver, British Columbia is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Customer Service Representative to support our Forestry Division. This role is responsible for coordinating and arranging international transportation services while working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure a high level of service, operational efficiency, and timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and continuously improve workflow and procedures to support customer objectives and overall client satisfaction
- Monitor all aspects of the logistics process, including container deliveries, transloading, bookings, Bills of Lading, and invoicing
- Coordinate with suppliers, ocean carriers, transloading facilities, mills, sales offices, and overseas customers to ensure accurate and timely execution of shipments
- Closely track shipments to meet carrier cut-off dates and VGM deadlines, ensuring cargo is loaded on the intended vessel
- Monitor orders from receipt through vessel departure, ensuring proactive communication throughout the process
- Prepare, review, and communicate Bills of Lading instructions with shipping lines; approve B / L drafts and arrange final distribution to customers
- Prepare and process export documentation including Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Commercial Invoices, Mill Certificates, and related documents
- Ensure export documentation is issued accurately and on time in accordance with sales agreements and letters of credit
- Maintain accurate shipment data in order management systems and update changes as required
- Input data into internal KPI reporting systems to monitor supplier and carrier performance
- Manage cargo flow to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly volume commitments and allocation requirements

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in documentationAbility to manage fluctuating workloads and meet tight deadlinesProficient typing skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsWillingness to learn and participate in ongoing training and developmentMinimum three (3) years of experience in international freight forwarding, preferably within marine transportationCompletion of the CIFFA Education Program (preferred)Some post-secondary education (preferred)#HP
