Insight Global is looking for a motivated engineer to become a core member of the Observability Team, helping guide the organization to both improve the practice and contribute to developing our strategy, roadmap, and execution at one of our largest retail clients. As a successful candidate for this role, you will support application teams migrating to Datadog using APM, Infra, and Serverless agents, ensuring our standards and best practices are met. You will work with key stakeholders to improve our documentation, standards, and practices. Finally, the role involves working with multiple internal teams, including vendor TAMs, to resolve issues and empower our end users. Experience with vendor management and tools rationalization projects is ideal. This is an enablement team. The work is as much about collaborating with internal and vendor teams, as it is about individual technical expertise.

Must Haves :

• Minimum 4+ years of experience with Observability solutions
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with rule and advanced logic creation for Observability
• Hands-on experience with Datadog APM, Infra, serverless, and RUM
• Experience in migrating app servers, Observability solution agents, or rolling out mass updates using Ansible or Terraform
• Hands-on experience in implementing and configuring an Observability solution in Kubernetes
• Demonstrated sense of ownership to plan, execute, and drive product deliverables to successful completion in a collaborative environment
• Ability to think innovatively and contribute to the success of products, processes, and customer experience
• Knowledge of : PII / CCPA / GDPR compliance Enterprise Single Sign-On Docker and Kubernetes Atlassian Suite tools Cloud Solutions

A day in the life : Support our teams with the instrumentation of Datadog, ensuring our onboarding process and best practices are adopted. Provide feedback to key stakeholders about challenges, blockers, or opportunities to streamline the way we work. Work with Datadog's support and TAM to resolve implementation issues.
