Base pay range

CA$35.00 / hr - CA$45.00 / hr

The firm focuses on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services—from concept evaluation to plant start‑up—offering in‑house project management, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services, civil and structural engineering, and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining project schedules, engineering man‑hour estimates, and cost estimates
• Requesting vendor information, compiling and distributing RFQs, evaluating quotes, and recommending purchase awards
• Assisting with the preparation and review of scope documents, reports, DBMs, PEPs, project kickoff documentation, RFQs, etc.
• Assembling and / or directing the assembly of construction work packages with an awareness and attention to what should be contained in the binder
• Understanding regulatory codes and their implications on Acero’s design (e.g., spacing)
• Understanding and working with piping and various equipment specifications
• Participating in HAZOPS, including preparation and close‑outs
• Understanding and participating in squad checks
• Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders (including clients, vendors, regulatory bodies, etc.)—e.g., notifying the appropriate stakeholders of all changes
• Prioritizing workload and juggling multiple tasks without falling short on quality or deadlines
• Other tasks / responsibilities, as required
