POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The Cogir Foundation supports projects and causes grouped under four main pillars : youth, seniors, cultural diversity, and the environment. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst will closely monitor the business performance of the Private Seniors' Residences (PSR) division across various Canadian portfolios. Among their key responsibilities, the Financial Analyst will actively participate in our initiatives as a business partner, including developing benchmarking analyses to improve revenue and cost management.
The successful candidate must be proactive and driven to provide value-added analysis to internal and external clients. They must be organized, possess proven multitasking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, and be able to manage workloads effectively. They will be required to analyze multiple files simultaneously, maintaining consistent quality of interpretation and reporting while meeting tight deadlines.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Collaborating with operations and cross-functional teams to support decision-making and the development of strategic plans.
Conduct comparative and trend analyses across residences to identify optimization opportunities.
Create, analyze and update financial models, case studies and reports to project short- and long-term performance, thereby supporting strategic planning efforts.
Ensure quality coverage of requests from external and internal partners by responding in a timely manner and coordinating follow-ups.
Identify and propose areas for process improvement based on identified optimization opportunities.
Manage monthly cash flow projections for your portfolio, taking into account financial projections, "CAPEX" projects and financing structures specific to your portfolio.
Monitor the performance of its portfolio assets, including occupancy levels, rental rates, net operating income (NOI), and variances from the income statement (P
Participate in the preparation and review of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for your portfolio of residences. Hold budget workshop meetings with the general managers of the residences.
Prepare and present monthly operational and financial results presentations to internal and external partners.
Training and integrating new FP analysts
Update performance tools such as occupancy dashboards, workforce management (EBO), and food cost dashboards.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance (CPA / CFA an asset)
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in similar roles
Any other combination of education and experience deemed relevant will be considered
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of Hopem and / or Yardi software (an asset)
Knowledge of Power BI (an asset)
Bilingualism in both spoken and written French / English
Spoken language level : advanced French, advanced English
