JobSummary

TheBartender will be responsible for ensuring that the guests / patronsare served alcoholic / nonalcoholic beverages and food.

Bartenders are also responsible for ensuring that their bars run smoothly andefficiently. He / she will report directly to the Food &BeverageSupervisor / Manager.

Education

  • Highschool diploma.
  • Additionaleducation training andcertificates.

Experience

  • Minimumof two (2) years experience in a similar position.
  • Suitablecombination of training andexperience.
  • Food Handler’sPermit.

CompetencyLevel

Thisrequires a basic understanding of the bar structures operations andcustomer service.

    KeyResponsibilities

    Accountabilities

    • Createa warm guest environment by welcoming reading and listening topeople to determine beverage preferences making recommendations andtaking drink / foodorders.
    • Selectand mix ingredients garnish glasses and serve beverages tocustomers.
    • Takeinventory to ensure the bar is wellstocked with beverages and othernecessary items including but not limited to garnishes andglassware.
    • Displayand stock fridge with all beverages that are instock.
    • Providedocumentation of inventory to the Food & BeverageSupervisor / Manager
    • Efficientlytake guests’ orders and handle cash credit and debit cardtransactions ensuring charges are accurate andreturned.
    • correctchange to patrons balancing the cashregister.
    • Createnew cocktailrecipes.
    • Checkidentification to ensure guests are of the legal age to purchasealcohol 18plus.
    • Maintaina clean work environment by removing trash cleaning tables andwashing glasses utensils andequipment.
    • Adhereto all food safety and qualityregulations.
