What you will do

Under direct supervision, tracks and provides direct support for theHVAC Building SolutionsInstallation Contract Business. Will work with Project Manager, Site Superintendent, and Regional Management to perform technical and administrative tasks that support the activities of anHVAC Building SolutionsProject Team on major projects

How you will do it

  • Tracks status and logs Project Submittals for consultant approval, ensuring that all required information for the submittal is included and identifies compliance issue to the appropriate parties.
  • Takes meeting minutes and distributes to the appropriate parties, as required.
  • Gathers Site Instructions, Variation Requests, Change Directives and Field Changes and forwards to theHVAC Building SolutionsProject Manager
  • Assist the Project Manager with ordering, tracking and delivering the material, and coordinating the subcontractor(s) and our own resources on projects.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation and maintenance of Change Order Logs, Risks / Issues Logs, Project Construction Schedules, Cost & Resource Loaded Schedules and project close-outs and Vendor Progress Claims
  • Assist site superintendent with onsite activities and follow-ups for security, safety, site access, and site inspection.
  • Create MS Project schedules and lookahead schedules.
  • Provide additional Operations Support, as required.
  • What we look for

    REQUIRED

  • University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience in a similar role, or 2-year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry, specifically in electrical or mechanical fields.
  • Project Co-ordination / Construction Management experience.
  • Valid Full G driver's license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.
  • Must have the ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of tasks and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
  • Ability to prioritize work activities based on financial impact to desired business goals. Experience and / or basic project accounting or costing principals is desired.
  • Must have proficient computer skills within the following applications : Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and Internet business application usage.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently and demonstrate solid organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to obtain Secret-level Government Clearance if required.
