Role Overview
The Investment Resource Group is building its automation platform and seeks a Process Automation Python Developer to design, implement, and support scalable automated solutions that streamline repetitive processes across CC&L Financial Group.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated solutions primarily using Python and tools such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) and AI technologies (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) within the Azure DevOps environment.
- Translate business requirements into scalable solutions and technical tasks in collaboration with the business analyst.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
- Debug, optimize, and enhance existing code to improve automation performance, scalability, and robustness.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across global locations to define and implement standardized automation approaches.
- Proactively propose improvements for the development framework and standards.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of innovation.
- Educate users on automation capabilities and best practices to identify potential use cases.
- Act as a liaison with information systems, operational risk teams, and other key stakeholders to drive synergy within CC&L Financial Group.
- Provide support for the existing automation platform in close collaboration with Information System teams as needed.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in automation or software development using object‑oriented programming languages such as Python (preferred) or Java.Solid understanding of automation or software development methodologies and business process design, analysis, and mapping.Proficiency with Git and code repositories.Experience with APIs (e.g., Microsoft Graph API).Experience with DevOps platforms such as Azure (preferred) or AWS.Strong Excel skills, including formulas, VBA, and Power Query is an asset.Familiarity with data engineering, data manipulation, and integrating multiple data sources is an asset.Experience with Robotic Process Automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere is an asset.A continuous improvement mindset focused on scalability and robustness of automation solutions.Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and synthesize information into actionable insights.Knowledge of project / program support, planning, implementation, and change management.Creative and tenacious problem‑solving skills with the ability to think outside the box.Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, high‑volume environment.Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.Demonstrate high motivation and proven track record of delivering results.Knowledge of post‑trade operational processes and compliance standards within the financial services industry is an asset.Benefits & Compensation
The starting salary for this position is $80,000.00. The starting salary reflects the base salary for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
