What you’ll be doing
As one of the new Senior Trucking and Transportation Claims Adjusters , you’ll investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle commercial lines claims by phone and correspondence.
You’ll direct field adjusters on a task basis. You’ll ensure accurate recordings, reporting, and presentation of files.

They can understand the big picture and are comfortable with the finer points & details of the role.
The Details
This is a full-time permanent position. This is a field-adjusting role that provides a combination of work from home and fieldwork.
You’ll work Monday Friday, with a rotating on-call element to cover the odd weekend. They provide supplement pay types, bonus pay, commission pay, and overtime pay.
In addition to a competitive base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 / year (commensurate with experience), you’ll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including, health, dental, and life insurance.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of technical experience in adjusting commercial insurance claims
- 8+ years of experience handling trucking, transportation, and / or cargo claims is required
- Experience handling liability, auto PD, and / or bodily injury claims is an asset
- Ontario Full Independent Adjusting license is a must
- CIP designation or working towards is required
- Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field
- Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate, and settle first- & third-party commercial lines claims
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service
- Travel within Ontario is required
