Content Marketing Specialist

We have an immediate job opening for a Content Marketing Specialist based out of our Markham head office. This exciting role will be responsible for supporting content development and digital campaign execution. The role involves writing B2B marketing content, managing email campaigns using HubSpot, supporting advertising and SEM efforts, and assisting with video and digital content creation. The role also requires research to support campaign planning and staying current with marketing tools and tactics.

You will be responsible for:

Content Development and Campaign Execution

• Writing and editing marketing materials including blog posts, case studies, FAQs, email campaigns, landing pages
• Developing messaging for digital ads, SEM campaigns, and video scripts
• Applying SEO and AEW best practices to written content
• Maintaining consistency in tone and brand alignment across all content

Email Marketing

• Building, scheduling, and sending email campaigns using HubSpot
• Segmenting contact lists, setting up workflows, and tracking performance metrics
• Suggesting improvements based on email analytics and campaign results

Digital Marketing and Social Media

• Participating in the execution of digital marketing plans
• Creating and managing content for social media platforms
• Maintaining and updating the digital marketing and social media content calendar
• Monitoring performance of social campaigns and coordinating with the team to align with broader marketing efforts

Research and Strategic Planning

• Conducting research to identify new vertical markets, audience segments, and content opportunities
• Collaborating with the sales team to create sales and market development strategies for SMB (Small and Medium Business) and SOHO (Small Office Home Office) segments
• Monitoring competitive activity, market trends, and economic factors, and report insights to the team

Creative Collaboration and Agency Coordination

• Contributing creative input and visual content ideas for campaigns and video production using the tools available
• Explaining content and campaign concepts clearly to stakeholders
• Liaising with external agencies as needed to support SEM campaigns
• Working with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and alignment on all marketing initiatives

Team Integration and Growth

• Sharing updates with the team on marketing trends, tools, and best practices
• Identifying opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness, client satisfaction, and reach
• Contributing to the growth and structure of the marketing function as a core team member

• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You have experience writing for B2B marketing across multiple formats
• You are proficient in using HubSpot for email marketing, list management, and automation
• You are familiar with digital marketing platforms including SEO, SEM, and paid media
• You are familiar with tools used for ad management, content planning, and video coordination
• You have an aptitude for research, including tools, trends, competitive analysis, and industry topics
• You can manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines
• You are detail oriented, highly organized and enjoy working in a team environment
• You are passionate about improving the everyday work experience of the small and medium business professional
• You can market an innovative, highly differentiated technology solution
• You can understand new technology concepts, and it is something you enjoy
• You are self-motivated, results driven, and maintain outstanding composure in the face of challenge

Skills, Talents, and Other Requirements:

• 4 to 5 years of experience in a marketing or content-focused role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• A post secondary degree is helpful, but not essential. Business experience equivalent is accepted
• The role offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience
