We are hiring a Senior .NET Developer to work with one of our clients, an international investment bank based in Montreal.

Context :

The consultant will be part of a team focused on the development and operations of IT systems for financial regulatory, management and performance monitoring purposes, that aligns both with local (America) and global business lines within the Bank.

The team’s ambitions are to constantly improve the systems used by our business partners, migrate legacy applications to public cloud architecture and promote the growth and adoption of in-house data science platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain applications within the team's scope.
• Build and maintain both operational and development platforms.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of development tools.
• Work with stakeholders to refine requirements and develop roadmaps.
• Support and manage the applications and services overseen by the team.
• Provide expertise to help resolve complex production issues.
• Communicate with users and other teams regarding project delivery and production quality.
• Participate in QA and UAT testing during software development.
• Engage in Change Management and Release Management (CMRM) processes.
• Perform data analysis to understand user needs or identify areas for improvement.

Profile

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

Must have

• Over 8 years of software development experience.
• Expertise in Microsoft .NET Core, especially ASP.NET and MVC.
• Extensive experience in data manipulation and transformation.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying microservices and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with CI / CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins) and containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with Spark, Azure, AKS, and Hadoop / HDInsight.
• Strong understanding of SQL, relational data modeling, and database engines.
• Ability to engage in front-end development (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js).
• Familiarity with Scrum methodology and software development lifecycles.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a complex IT environment.
• Background in the financial services industry or experience with accounting models.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field)
