About the Role

This summer, were offering a16-week paid internship(starting May 2026) for a Web Development Intern. Youll get real hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting websites while working alongside experienced developers.

Candidates must be located in Calgary and currently enrolled in post-secondary school.

Responsibilities :

Build, customize, and maintain client websites using WordPress and Gutenberg.

Support front-end development : HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.

Assist with back-end tasks including PHP, MySQL, and plugin implementation.

Conduct QA, debugging, and troubleshooting of web projects.

Implement on-page SEO best practices and monitor site performance.

Collaborate with designers, content specialists, and marketing strategists.

Learn and use Git / version control for project workflows.

Participate in internal culture eventsfoosball tournaments, office games, and team lunches.

Candidate Profile

Experience / Skills :

Familiarity with WordPress development (themes, plugins, CMS)

Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL / MariaDB, WordPress plugin development

Exposure to Git or other version control systems

Understanding of responsive design and website performance optimization

Nice-to-have : Elementor, Divi or Shopify development experience

Portfolio of websites / projects is a plus

Internship Details & Perks

Duration : 16-week paid internship starting May 2026

Compensation : $20.00 per hour

Grant Funding : Eligibility : Must be a full-time student in a post-secondary program and a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold refugee status. International students are not eligible.

Potential Full-Time Opportunity : High-performing interns may be offered full-time positions with competitive salaries.
