Job descriptionPurchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased Develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased Negotiate offers from suppliers Consult with suppliers Review quotations Establish delivery schedules Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems Review and process claims against suppliers Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services Manage contracts Organize and maintain inventory Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies Free parking available
