The successful incumbent will be an integral member of the patient care team functioning in the scrub and circulating roles. The ORT works to their full scope of practice, contributing to the assessment, planning and implementation of patient care in the surgical setting; in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team. Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse - Operating Room Technician (LPN-ORT) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients / residents and families. The LPN-ORT works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.
