Rate of Pay : $19.53 per hour

Hours of Work per Week : Various (Up to a maximum of 44 hours)

Hours of Work for Community Centre Day Camp positions typically occur from 7 : 00 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hours of Work for the Parks SUPIE Day Camp positions typically occur from 4 : 00 p.m. until 8 : 30 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.

Shift Work Required : No

Duties and Responsibilities :

Reporting to a Supervisor of Community Programming or the Assistant Manager WIATC / Adventure Bay or designate(s) where applicable,

• Recreation Program Instructors will teach and supervise programs while ensuring a safe, clean environment.
• Will provide program planning, program implementation and conduct evaluations.
• The incumbent will maintain excellent customer service and public relations at all times.
• The incumbent will maintain statistical data as required. Recreation Program Instructors may be assigned to more than one work location and may be moved as required.
• Will perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation’s Health and Safety Program.
• Will perform other related duties as required.
