HR Summer Student

Summary :

Our Human Resources team is looking for an ambitious Student to join us for a summer term. If you are enrolled in a post-secondary Human Resources program and looking to acquire skills in support of developing a career in HR, this opportunity can allow you to gain valuable related work experience.

This role will provide overall support to the HR team, that includes recruiting support, pre-employment scheduling, updating employee records and reports, responding to employees inquires, assisting with HR updates and communications.

Schedule :

• This position holds normal business hours, Monday to Friday, based out of our downtown Calgary corporate office.
• This is a temporary summer term from May to end of August / September 2024.

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist with maintaining personnel records, rosters, and status reports.
• Provide administrative support to the HR team as well as day-to-day support with internal systems and process.
• Assist with continuous updating and communication of organization charts.
• Provide assistance updating HRIS, ATS, and career website.
• Support Talent Acquisition with screening resumes and scheduling interviews as needed.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements :

• Enrolled in post-secondary education program with a focus on Human Resources studies.
• Tech-savvy with proficient computer skills, in Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong communicator both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service skills.
