POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Application Programmer Analyst will play a key role in building and supporting internal and external-facing applications, working alongside experienced developers and business resources to create enterprise systems that drive business success.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Lead development efforts on major application platforms
- Interact with the business to understand and document requirements
- Design, develop and test new software solutions satisfying requirements in alignment with standards and the software development lifecycle
- Work with the extended development team to ensure changes are properly documented, communicated, audited and deployed in compliance with established procedures
- Root cause and resolve production problems in support of KPIs
- Mentor team members on technologies, practices and standards in areas of expertise
- Promote and assist in the creation of standards and processes
- Research and coordinate the conversion and / or integration of new products based on business requirements
- Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field5+ years of relevant professional experiencePositive, collaborative team player with a professional attitudeAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment while effectively prioritizing tasksExperience with SQL performance tuning and developing software solutions using Oracle Developer Suite, Java, .NET, and web technologies. Experience with Red Hat Enterprise LinuxSolid understanding of RDBMS platforms and knowledge of web services and system integration using SOAP and RESTOUR WHY
