Second Bind pioneers in environmental innovation, transforming clutter into purpose for a sustainable future. We seek a part-time, highly motivated, dynamic logistics and Operations Engineer Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sustainability.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Warehouse Operations Management : Oversee and manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, inventory control, and shipping of goods. Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Staff Supervision : Lead, motivate, and supervise warehouse personnel. Ensure all team members are trained, follow proper procedures, and meet performance expectations.
  • Inventory Control : Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, performing regular cycle counts and audits to ensure stock levels are accurate. Address discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Order Fulfillment : Coordinate the timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders to meet customer delivery schedules. Ensure all outbound shipments are correctly labeled and documented for efficient processing.
  • Logistics Coordination : Manage inbound and outbound deliveries, liaising with vendors and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. Ensure all vehicles are properly loaded / unloaded, and that the correct products are dispatched efficiently.
  • Supply Chain Management : Collaborate with other departments and vendors to ensure the smooth flow of goods across the entire supply chain. Monitor inventory levels, manage reordering processes, and ensure the efficient movement of products from suppliers to the warehouse and to customers.
  • Route Scheduling : Develop and optimize delivery routes to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries. Coordinate with truck drivers to manage schedules, monitor delivery progress, and resolve any issues related to transportation logistics.
  • Safety and Compliance : Ensure that warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Regularly review safety procedures and implement necessary updates.
  • Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to streamline warehouse operations and improve efficiency. Focus on reducing operational costs while increasing productivity.
  • Customer Service Support : Work closely with the customer service team to address any inventory or shipment issues. Ensure high levels of accuracy and professionalism in all customer interactions, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Report Generation : Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, order status, and warehouse activities for upper management. Assist in budgeting and cost management related to warehouse operations.

Requirements

Experience :

  • Mandatory : Minimum of 5 years of retail experience, with a strong background in eCommerce warehouse operations and fulfillment . Previous experience in managing eCommerce fulfillment processes, including order picking, packing, and timely shipping is essential.
  • Previous experience in warehouse management or logistics is required.
  • Experience in multi-location operations or chain store environments is preferred. (Wlamart, Amazon, Costco)
  • eCommerce Fulfillment : Hands-on experience in managing eCommerce fulfillment processes, including order processing, inventory management, and customer delivery schedules is mandatory.
  • Licenses / Certifications :

  • Must possess a valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Skills :

  • Leadership : Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and guide a diverse team.
  • Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail, particularly with inventory management and order fulfillment, ensuring high levels of accuracy.
  • Tech-Savvy : Proficient in using warehouse management software (WMS) and other relevant eCommerce platforms. Familiarity with office software like Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is also required.
  • Communication : Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear coordination with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Problem Solving : Ability to identify issues quickly and take corrective actions as needed, especially under pressure.
  • Customer-Centric : Focus on ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment and proactive problem resolution.
  • Additional Requirements :

  • eCommerce Fulfillment Expertise : A thorough understanding of eCommerce fulfillment workflows and best practices is essential. This includes expertise in managing order fulfillment systems, shipping carriers, and customer service coordination.
  • Ability to Adapt : Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment and quickly adapt to new technologies and methodologies to improve warehouse performance.
