- Coordinating design teams, directing engineers and technicians, and ensuring quality in reports, tender packages, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Supporting field staff and contract administrators in addressing construction challenges.
- Preparing proposals, project reports, design documents, and permit applications.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their professional development.
- Collaborating across Burnside offices to deliver successful, client-focused outcomes.
What You Bring
- A degree in engineering and a P.Eng. license in Ontario.
- 15–20+ years of experience in municipal linear infrastructure design, project management, and client engagement.
- Proven track record of managing projects, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Knowledge of municipal/provincial approval processes and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—and strong attention to detail.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
Assets (nice To Have)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
- Experience with trenchless construction methods (HDD, microtunneling, horizontal auger boring, etc.).
