Our client that provides scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America is seeking to add an Health and Safety Coordinator to thier team.

A successful candidate will be working with the Health and Safety team developing and ensuring safety within the workplace.

Responsibilities

Maintain and administer safety policies to uphold our culture of health and safety.

Conduct safety orientation training tailored to the requirements of each role.

Provide continuous training and coaching to ensure consistency and alignment with business strategies and legal requirements.

Manage workplace injury and incident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions.

Coordinate Workers Compensation (WCB) claims.

Monitor safety incidents and metrics, and report on safety trends and issues.

Schedule and prepare for COR audits.

Lead and manage the Safety Committee.

Stay updated with legislation and latest safety trends, consistently implementing best practices in the workplace.

Qualifications

Diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety or a related field.

5+ years of progressive experience in occupational health and safety within a manufacturing environment.

Experience with COR audits.

Experience in managing Workers Compensation (WCB) claims.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Valid Standard First Aid certificate.
