Position Title : General Labour / Machine Operator

Reports To : Plant Supervisor

Department : Production

Position Summary : Responsible for operating various production equipment, assembly and final inspection of product. Reporting of any issues with equipment directly to supervisors

Essential Functions :

• Operate Production equipment
• Assembly of various products based on daily requirements
• Meet daily production requirements
• Re-pack product as necessary
• Print product labels as required for produced items
• Participate in training as required
• Communicate with supervisory and plant staff as required
• Comply with company rules, regulations and policies as communicated and / or posted on bulletin boards
• Any other duties as my be assigned by supervision

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Mechanically inclined

Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English

Ability to lift heavy loads and transfer them manually

Good decision making, teamwork and organizational skills

Flexibility to work shifts - Day / Afternoon (Afternoon -shift premium)

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment - Minimum 1 year (asset)

Secondary school diploma or equivalent
