Mayfair Drugs is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Patient Focused Care Responsibilities
- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
- Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
- Assist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
- Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
- Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
- Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy with a preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailSkilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry.Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes / containersWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededSchedule
8 hours per week (Casual)Standard shifts will typically run between 8 : 30 a.m. and 6 : 00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours from 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 15 p.m.Who We Are
