3 -5 years of experience required
The appropriate candidate should have the following qualifications :
- A university degree preferably in a related discipline such as bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public relations, political science, communications, or creative writing.
- Superior knowledge of proper English grammar, punctuation, usage, and formatting, as well as appropriate Canadian Press, plain language, and Government of Alberta styles.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze and synthesize information while editing and writing documents.
- Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize workload to meet Panel needs and department’s deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a history of approachability, tact, and political sensitivity.
- Ability to work as a team player with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint is an asset.
Attending Public Advisory Panel (the Panel) meetings to ensure the recommendations made by the Panel are captured. The recommendations will need to be drafted into a report(s) for review by the Minister.
