How you'll make an impact

The Product Lead is critical to our global strategy, providing an essential link between our UK- and New Zealand-based product and engineering teams and our in-region go-to-market (GTM) teams.

The role is perfect for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset focused on driving customer and business outcomes.

Your role is two-fold. Firstly, you will represent your region; by building deep market, customer and competitor knowledge, you will identify and explore the most impactful opportunities that will enable our product to win.

You will produce high-quality, data-informed pitch documents, aligned to our business strategy and goals, and will gain buy-in from our UK- and NZ-based product development teams, sponsoring and supporting delivery through to a successful launch.

Through your depth of market knowledge, you will be a critical contributor to our global product strategy, goals and roadmap.

Secondly, you will represent our Product Development function in your region, empowering the go-to-market teams (Sales, Onboarding, Customer Success, Support) with comprehensive knowledge about the product’s USPs, strengths and upcoming feature releases.

You will champion our product vision and strategy, quarterly objectives, and the initiatives we’re prioritising. Your goal is to ensure local teams feel confident in our product, and fully aware of how it will be developing over time.

What you'll do

As Product Lead you will bring a strong regional perspective to our global product vision and strategy.

  • Think and act entrepreneurially, finding ways to drive exceptional product growth across all typical SaaS metrics in your local market
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer needs through qualitative and quantitative insights, conducting customer interviews, market research, and data analysis, turning into actionable, influential and shareable insights
  • Identify and deeply understand the problems and opportunities that will most impact our business goals and strategy
  • Write comprehensive and commercially-sound opportunity pitch documents to gain buy-in and support prioritisation
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Team Leads in UK and NZ to create requirements, acting as a sponsor and SME during development cycle
  • Lead on in-region product launches, tightening product feedback loops through MVPs, beta groups and iterative rollouts, ensuring success metrics are delivered
  • Support in-region GTM teams with deep product knowledge, ensure awareness of current Product strategies, objectives and focus areas
  • Work with Onboarding and Customer Success teams to ensure customers achieve their business outcomes using our product effectively to its full potential

What you’ll bring with you

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Senior Product Management role
  • Extensive experience working in a fast-paced start-up / scale-up, with the ability to cut through the noise, multi-task and stay organised and effective
  • Experience driving significant business impact through influence and negotiation with stakeholders
  • Solid experience using data analysis to uncover actionable insights
  • Understanding of modern product discovery and delivery techniques and methods
  • Product sense and commercial awareness to find the simplest, most impactful solution to any problem
  • The ability to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative
  • Experience engaging with customers ideally in a B2B environment to build empathy and understanding

Personal attributes

  • Demonstrably entrepreneurial background or mindset
  • A strong communicator, presenter and collaborator
  • Customer-centric and highly curious
  • Thought leader and passionate about great user experience
  • Self-motivated and relentless about self-improvement
