Job descriptionEducation : College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience : 2 years to less than 3 years
Work setting
- Hospital / medical facility or clinic
- Check, calibrate and perform routine maintenance to equipment
- Prepare recordings and reports of findings for physicians
- Review patient's case history and assess nature of problem to determine procedures and tests required
- Monitor cardiac activity and record results
- Operate electrocardiographs, cardiac ultrasound and other electronic equipment
- Perform cardiovascular procedures and tests
- Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Registration
