Quality Control Inspector
We are partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturing organization that has recently launched a high-volume production facility in Calgary. As the operation scales, they are adding a Quality Control Inspector to support production through hands‑on inspection, quality assurance, and cross‑functional collaboration.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented inspector who enjoys being on the production floor, working closely with machinists and manufacturing teams, and ensuring product quality from first article through final inspection.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform first‑off, in‑process, and final inspections of manufactured components
- Prepare and set up inspection equipment prior to use
- Verify part dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Conduct first article inspections on all product runs
- Initiate Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) for parts that do not meet specifications
- Identify, segregate, and clearly label nonconforming parts
- Assist in maintaining the NCR area, ensuring parts are properly identified and documented
- Identify tools requiring calibration and perform calibration of measurement instruments
- Coordinate closely with assembly, manufacturing, and shipping / receiving teams
- Track and identify needs for inspection‑related consumables
- Perform basic administrative tasks (emails, photocopying, printing)
