Location : Oakville, ON
Shift : 6 : 00am 2 : 00pm (Monday-Friday)
Salary : $70k-$75k and flexible depending on experience.

Daily Responsibilities :
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers / vendors based on factors such as price, quality, reliability, and delivery speed.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers to secure favorable terms and achieve cost savings.
- Review purchase requisitions, analyze inventory levels, and forecast future demand to determine optimal procurement strategies.
- Place purchase orders and track order status to ensure timely delivery of materials while minimizing inventory carrying costs.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including production, logistics, and finance teams, to align procurement activities with operational needs and budgetary constraints.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information in the procurement system / database.
- Resolve issues and disputes with suppliers regarding quality, quantity, pricing, and delivery discrepancies.
- Stay informed about regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to procurement practices.
Education & Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a buyer, procurement specialist, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, perform cost analysis, and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software / systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles, inventory control, and logistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, FDA) is a plus.
- Experience in ERP is a MUST
