Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an automation script that identifies and safely cleans up resources associated with scaled-down hosts, including the deletion of unattached EBS volumes in AWS with minimal manual intervention
  • Conduct a pilot project to assess the feasibility and benefits of migrating Jenkins CI / CD pipelines to a Rancher environment (On-prem & Cloud), focusing on improved deployment processes and autoscaling capabilities
  • Create a strategic plan to integrate cloud-native services into the infrastructure stack, demonstrating their impact on scalability and operational efficiency through targeted proof-of-concept projects
  • Assess and on-board applications for Autoscaling
  • Implement and test Autoscaling functionality for applications
  • Troubleshoot applications to help in achieving Autoscaling readiness

Requirements

  • Extensive experience working with DevOps / DevSecOps using Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Rancher
  • Proven history of contributing to the estimation and planning sessions
  • Strong understanding of CI / CD and using automation to Autoscale
  • Comfortable working with AWS Cloud Services
  • Knowledge of architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • Hands-on with Ansible, GitHub, and JIRA
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve
  • Excellent communication skills
