Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an automation script that identifies and safely cleans up resources associated with scaled-down hosts, including the deletion of unattached EBS volumes in AWS with minimal manual intervention
- Conduct a pilot project to assess the feasibility and benefits of migrating Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to a Rancher environment (On-prem & Cloud), focusing on improved deployment processes and autoscaling capabilities
- Create a strategic plan to integrate cloud-native services into the infrastructure stack, demonstrating their impact on scalability and operational efficiency through targeted proof-of-concept projects
- Assess and on-board applications for Autoscaling
- Implement and test Autoscaling functionality for applications
- Troubleshoot applications to help in achieving Autoscaling readiness
Requirements
- Extensive experience working with DevOps/DevSecOps using Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Rancher
- Proven history of contributing to the estimation and planning sessions
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and using automation to Autoscale
- Comfortable working with AWS Cloud Services
- Knowledge of architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Hands-on with Ansible, GitHub, and JIRA
- Ability to analyze and problem solve
- Excellent communication skills
