The Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario Provincial Police, and the Training and Recruitment Bureau is seeking a qualified individual to join our Strategic Research, and Planning Unit. In this exciting, rewarding and challenging opportunity, you will provide financial, purchasing, and administrative services to the Provincial Police Academy (PPA) through the efficient daily operation of the office while adhering to standard government directives, policies and procedures, while working closely with other areas of the organization.

We provide essential services that ensure the safety and security of the people of the Province of Ontario. The Culture and Strategy Services Command is responsible for key transformational change within the Ontario Provincial Police, allowing for greater capacity, better collaboration across provincial commands, and improved accountability to address key organizational functions. The Provincial Police Academy consists of the following units : 1) General Patrol Training (GPT), 2) In-Service Training (IST), 3) Strategic Research and Planning, and 4) Curriculum Design Unit & Senior Course Cadre.
The Strategic Research and Planning Unit (SRPU) is an award-winning team of dedicated professionals who provide innovative, creative and dynamic strategic initiatives, information, administration, technical expertise, research, analysis, and project planning for the Academy. As innovative leaders, SRPU members have won several Accolade Awards for Innovation and Creativity, recognizing their contribution to learning, solutions, and technical excellence.
About the job
To apply foundational knowledge in finance and supply chain management, contributing to accurate financial tracking, purchasing and vendor management, payments, efficient procurement processes, and budget and procurement policies. This position supports PPA operations through attention to detail, problem solving, data analytical skills, sound judgment and discretion, and a commitment to learning and continuous improvement within a dynamic team environment.
