The successful candidate will be responsible for the following :

• leading the Kitchen Stewards and Kitchen Porters in cleaning and sanitizing all flatware, glassware, and silverware, maintaining cleaning tools and supplies, and storing them in designated areas.
• Ensuring the upkeep and preservation of the ware washing rooms, chinaware storage room, cleaning / non-cleaning storage room and food preparation rooms.
• Setting up & maintaining all service stations, clearing stations and food plating areas so they are ready for their purpose.
• Ensuring all requisitions from the banquet, culinary and other departments are completed and positioned accordingly.

The successful candidate will have the following :

• 2 years experience working in a hotel / convention setting.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Post-secondary degree in Hospitality Management or a related program is considered an asset.
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety, food safety, and the Safety Data Sheet.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Flexible work schedule with the ability to work mornings, evenings, Nights, and weekends.
