Position Title : HR Project Manager and Process Improvement Analyst Reports To : Manager, HR Data and Systems
Department : Human Resources Term : Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements : This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month.
You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

This role will take on two equally important functions :
Project manage major HR programs. Ensure on time delivery of objectives requiring participation from multiple HR sub-teams.
Focus on positive Manager and Employee Experience with HR programs.
Partner with the HR Management Team to identify, plan, and execute process improvements that will support business growth, HR efficiency, and positive Manager and Employee Experience with HR processes.

What you will be doing :
- Project manage major HR annual programs :
- January & February : Annual Incentive Plan (Bonus) Program
- March & April : Annual Salary Increase Program
- May & June : Annual Budget and Business Plan Process
- Summer : Pay Equity Maintenance
- September & October : Employee Opinion Survey
- October & November : Talent Calibration
- Hands-on continuous improvement of complex HR processes. Work in partnership with the Payroll, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Data & Systems HR sub-teams, and the Corporate IT team where required, to review and improve processes, create documentation, checklists, and work aids.
- Assist HR leadership in planning the schedule of key initiatives as identified during the strategic planning process and monitor progress throughout the year.
- Facilitate meetings and resolve conflicts between various groups to enable progress on project and / or process initiatives.
- Engage HR sub-teams and business stakeholders (where necessary) in the planning process. Ensure deliverables are defined and formalized into a project plan.
- Determine what resources are needed for success of each major program and process improvement initiative.
- Build strong working relationships with HR sub-teams. Gain insight into their processes and pain points, and help plan for future improvement initiatives.
What you will bring :
- Cross functional HR experience in some or all the following areas : HRIS systems, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Payroll.
- Project management and project planning experience or training - with understanding of project management methodology, business analysis and testing techniques.
- The ability to plan and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to drive projects through to completion by collaborating with colleagues or working independently with little or no supervision.
- Strong inter-personal and influencing skills with the ability to effectively lead initiatives, gain support and build consensus with HR team stakeholders, and partners in other business areas.
- Detail oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, and experience in HR Process improvement.
- Training or experience in process improvement methodology (i.e. Lean Six Sigma) would be an asset.
- Innovative problem-solver with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Positive, high energy team player who thrives in in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong command of Microsoft 365, including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Loop, Planner, PowerBI would be an asset.
- Experience coordinating teams or projects with conflicting priorities.
