Overview Garmin Canada has an exciting opportunity as a Material Handler - Equipment. In this position, you will operate material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting material with accuracy while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Essential Functions Ship, receive, arrange pickups, load and unload trucks, manage inventory, purchase materials and process returns Ensure accuracy and completeness of all inbound and outbound shipments, including verifying quantities, and inspecting for damage Safely operate a warehouse counterbalance forklift and other equipment as needed Monitor equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary to ensure smooth operations Operate handheld scanner device to transact and move material Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment Ensure Health and Safety compliance in accordance with company policies and procedures Responsible for reporting safety incidents by following procedures and guidelines Work effectively with team members to complete daily tasks and to address issues when they arise Cross-train and learn other functions of the warehouse Perform other work-related duties as assigned Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and possess a minimum of 3 years warehouse, manufacturing or related experience Possess a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination Forklift experience and valid training certification Must possess proficiency using personal computers, including experience with MS Office Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, fast paced and challenging environment Ability to problem solve and apply basic math skills Must possess ability to visually distinguish minor cosmetic imperfections and defects and report issues or discrepancies to Operations.

Must possess the ability to bend, twist and reach shelves up to two meters high, stand for an entire shift, walk long distances throughout the facility and upstairs.
