This a great opportunity for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to work on projects across the USA with this well-established consulting engineering company.

Our client is a leading consulting Engineering firm known for its excellence in project delivery across North America. This firm focuses specifically on institutional, residential, commercial, public and civic projects and they are looking for a capable individual to work in a senior capacity

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Studio Manager, the role will have a broad focus encompassing project management, project delivery, design and production as well as liaising with clients.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the various engineering teams with their project work to ensure excellent service delivery for mechanical engineering services in a consulting environment and on building projects.

Key Responsibilities include :

• The Electrical Engineer / EIT will be involved in a wide range of tasks including and not limited to :
• Performs analysis, design, and model of more complex electrical building systems and elements for various construction projects
• Ensures that elements of design, modelling, and detailing adhere to relevant jurisdictional codes
• Perform basic engineering activities such as calculations, code research, material and building systems research, laying out components and calculation of program and building areas
• Provide assistance to the architect by providing project change documentation during contract administration
• Demonstrate an ability to collaborate with other professional disciplines
• Assists with writing of design reports, comparison of systems, and in determination of system feasibilities
• Performs fundamental engineering calculations to determine systems configuration and capacity
• Conducts site surveys and field reviews to ensure accurate documentation of existing and new construction conditions
• Work with clients and stakeholders throughout project execution

The minimum qualifications for this position are :

• Professional Engineer with registration in the US or EIT on track for registration
• 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with some leadership experience
• Good electrical design skills
• Solid knowledge and application of the mechanical and / or plumbing requirements per building codes, energy codes, and other related standards
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent communication skills and a dedicated attitude
