Roles and Responsibilities

• Proficiently perform all tasks within the work area, demonstrating mastery of each position.
• Foster effective communication among team members, summarizing issues and opportunities clearly, and facilitating problem-solving efforts.
• Take on leadership responsibilities by offering guidance to other warehouse staff on non-routine matters or providing assistance as needed.
• Assume leadership duties in the absence of the warehouse manager, ensuring continuity and smooth operation.
• Review daily orders, including Small Parcel, LTL, and Automotive shipments, ensuring accuracy of transportation method and specific instructions, and prioritize orders by expected date.
• Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Sales Account Management Specialists (SAMS) to review and prepare large customer orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy.
• Complete work orders according to customer specifications prior to shipment.
• Coordinate transportation for each order as needed.
• Upon receipt of merchandise, verify against documentation, organize, and store in the appropriate warehouse area. Address any deficiencies or issues promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of all product codes, including specialized NRB items.
• Participate actively in Health and Safety (H&S) initiatives relevant to the assigned work area, reviewing corrective actions and implementing preventative measures as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a warehouse or similar environment
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated with a strong focus on achieving results
• Proficiency in Oracle, SAP, or other warehouse management systems
• Competency in Safety Management practices
• Dependable and reliable, with a track record of meeting deadlines
• Excellent reporting skills, able to effectively communicate complex information
• Skilled in dealing with complex situations and problem-solving
• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment while managing time effectively
• Ability to lift 50 LB repeatedly over long periods of time
