Position Overview:

The Director of Bids & Proposals is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end bid lifecycle within the Allerium organization. This individual will lead cross-functional teams including proposal writers, quote generation, sales, and subject matter experts (SMEs), to develop high-quality, competitive proposals that align with business objectives and drive growth. The Director will ensure all submissions meet client requirements, are compliant, and reflect the organization’s value proposition.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement bid strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing quoting and bid & proposal team.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to ensure cohesive and strategic proposal development.
  • Identify and assess new business opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, and ITTs.
  • Manage the bid pipeline and ensure timely qualification and prioritization of opportunities.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling, client-focused proposals.
  • Ensure proposals are compliant, accurate, and aligned with branding and messaging standards.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to refine solution approaches and win themes.
  • Manage proposal timelines, resources, and deliverables across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct kick-off meetings, strategy sessions, and progress reviews to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and pricing strategies.
  • Assist with contract negotiations and ensure commercial viability of proposals.
  • Analyze feedback and conduct post-bid debriefs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance content libraries, templates, and proposal tools.
  • Monitor and manage quote request queue to ensure due dates are met.
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and innovation in proposal development.

  • Minimum of 8–10 years in bid management, proposal development, or business development within professional services or consulting environments.
  • Proven track record of leading successful high-value bids across public and private sectors.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in both office-based and virtual settings.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Certifications in bid management (e.g., APMP) are considered an asset.

The pay range reflects the expected base salary for this position. Final compensation will be based on role, level, skills, experience, and geographic location.

Aperçu du poste :

Le directeur des appels d'offres et propositions est un rôle de leadership stratégique responsable de la supervision du cycle de vie des soumissions de bout en bout au sein de l'organisation Allerium. Cette personne dirigera des équipes interfonctionnelles, incluant rédacteurs de propositions, génération de soumissions, ventes et experts en la matière (PME), afin de développer des propositions de haute qualité et compétitives qui s'alignent sur les objectifs d'affaires et stimulent la croissance. Le directeur veillera à ce que toutes les soumissions répondent aux exigences des clients, soient conformes et reflètent la proposition de valeur de l'organisation.

Responsabilités :

  • Définir et mettre en œuvre des stratégies d'appel d'offres alignées sur les objectifs organisationnels.
  • Diriger, encadrer et développer une équipe performante de soumissions et de soumissions et propositions.
  • Favoriser la collaboration entre les départements afin d'assurer un développement cohérent et stratégique des propositions.
  • Identifier et évaluer de nouvelles occasions d'affaires, y compris les RFP, RFI et ITT.
  • Gérez la chaîne de soumissions et assurez-vous de la qualification et de la priorisation des opportunités en temps opportun.
  • Supervisez la création de propositions convaincantes et axées sur le client.
  • Assurez-vous que les propositions sont conformes, exactes et alignées sur les normes de marque et de message.
  • Collaborez avec les PME pour affiner les approches de solutions et gagner les thèmes.
  • Gérer les échéanciers, les ressources et les livrables des propositions auprès des parties prenantes internes et externes.
  • Organisez des réunions de lancement, des séances stratégiques et des revues de l'avancement afin d'assurer l'alignement et la responsabilité.
  • Analysez les tendances du marché, le positionnement des concurrents et les stratégies de tarification.
  • Aider aux négociations contractuelles et assurer la viabilité commerciale des propositions.
  • Analysez les commentaires et effectuez des débriefings post-appel d'offres pour identifier les points à améliorer.
  • Maintenir et améliorer les bibliothèques de contenu, les modèles et les outils de propositions.
  • Surveillez et gérez la file d'attente des demandes de soumissions pour vous assurer que les dates d'échéance sont respectées,
  • Exploitez l'IA et les technologies émergentes pour stimuler l'efficacité et l'innovation dans le développement des propositions.

  • Un bilan éprouvé dans la direction d'appels d'offres à forte valeur ajoutée dans les secteurs public et privé.
  • Expérience de la gestion d'équipes multifonctionnelles en bureau ou virtuellement.

Éducation :

  • Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, marketing, communications ou domaine connexe.
  • Les certifications en gestion d'offres (par exemple, APMP) sont considérées comme un atout.
