BUILDING OPERATOR 4

Saskatoon Public Schools invites applications for a Building Operator 4 position. Under the direction of the Manager of Operations, the Building Operator 4 ensures the Mount Royal building and campus (including the heating and cooling plant, mechanical and electrical systems) are maintained and operated to provide a safe, clean, learning and working environment that is kept in a comfortable and presentable condition. The Building Operator 4 will act as a lead hand in organizing the daily and seasonal work of caretaking staff and as the school division’s representative in dealing with partners and tenants at the site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate the building’s heating, cooling, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and presentable learning and working environment.
• Lead and coordinate daily and seasonal caretaking activities for staff.
• Liaise with partners and tenants on campus.
• Utilize email, process maintenance requisitions, supply orders, and staffing assignments.
• Operate the energy management system (schedule, adjust set‑points, diagnose heating, cooling and ventilation issues).
