Int. Information Security Analyst to create a best-practices guidebook on configuring and securing AWS services for our Higher Education client.

Duration :  2 months (chance of extension)

Location : Downtown Toronto - 50% Hybrid (2 days onsite –week one, 3 days offsite / 3 days onsite – week two, 2 days offsite)

Job Responsibilities :

  • This two-month engagement will have a specific deliverable : A shareable best-practices guidebook on configuring and securing AWS services, including step by step instructions, for members of the community who wish to use the AWS platform for their work.
  • The Analyst will work with peers in the University’s Information Technology Services group, with peers from AWS Professional Services, and with a sampling of potential AWS clients, to create this resource.

Must haves :

  • 5+ years of experience as an I nformation Security Analyst working with AWS technologies
  • Best Practices for AWS Security, Identity, & Compliance, AWS Security Maturity Model, Best practices to secure my AWS account and its resources, AWS Security Best Practices (Archived Edition)
  • AWS models and frameworks (e.g. Shared Responsibility Model, AWS Digital Sovereignty, Risk & Compliance framework, Well-Architected Framework)
  • AWS Container Solutions, IAM, Amazon EC2
  • 3+ years of experience of demonstrated ability to create useable technical documentation
  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch & CloudTrail
  • Knowledge of Python, Bash, PowerShell
  • Nice to haves :

  • Previous Higher Education Experience
  • AWS Certification
