Finance Manager
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to play a key role in supporting the organization's capital strategy across a diverse portfolio of real estate and operating entities. This position operates within a shared services model, providing financing expertise and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine strong financial acumen, relationship management skills, and the ability to navigate complex lending processes while fostering collaboration across teams.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Prepare loan summaries and gather required documentation for initial financing requests
- Review and negotiate term sheets and loan commitments with lenders
- Coordinate execution of financing documents, including estoppels, commitments, and payout statements
- Manage annual lender reviews and maintain accurate data in the Debt Manager system
- Monitor compliance with loan covenants and maintain proactive lender relationships
- Explore alternative financing solutions such as hedging, swaps, surety, and letters of credit
- Support acquisition and disposition activities by gathering due diligence materials and summarizing findings
- Track contract timelines and ensure adherence to key deliverables
- Analyze acquisition and disposition opportunities and provide recommendations based on financial models
- Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports on financing activities and portfolio performance
- Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and feedback-driven environment
- Train staff and promote continuous learning within the department
Your strengths include :
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related fieldCPA designation considered an assetExperience in commercial mortgage brokerage is an advantageProven ability to secure financing, prepare loan packages, and manage end-to-end lending processesStrong understanding of commercial lending structures, covenants, and financing strategiesMinimum 2 years of people management experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Yardi or similar ERP experience is an assetAbility to manage multiple priorities under pressure in a dynamic environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with high attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindsetIf you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please click the " Apply " button to send your resume directly to Rob Mella.
